Join international yoga couple Patrick Beach and Carling Harps for an afternoon of self exploration on an honest and real level through invigorating yoga, open conversation, yummy wine and delicious food.
A day among the vines!
The day will begin with a yoga practice led by Patrick designed to challenge both the body and mind. Through the physical and dynamic movements balanced with moments of stillness we will dig deep to find out more about ourselves and what may be holding us back.
After the class we will relax on picnic rugs overlooking the vineyard and enjoy a glass of wine and platters filled with fresh local and seasonal produce.
To finish Carling will share her personal experiences of dealing with stress and anxiety off the mat, encouraging us to release fear in order to live an open and awakened life.
The location
Our home for the day will be the Panton Family Vineyard. Set among the lush green valleys of the Mornington Penisula, with its rolling slopes and distant ocean views it's the perfect place to escape the city and breathe in the fresh country air.
Patrick's yoga workshop
Finding Harmony
This intuitive flowing practice asks for your full attention through both challenging movement and complete stillness. Release muscle tension, soften mental energy and open up to your higher, neutral mind.
Digging deep into backbends, standing postures, and abdominal work help refine your capacity to move efficiently, releasing both physical and mental tension as we steer our way towards a balance between the strength of the front body and the stability of the back body.
Experience inner stillness with the aide of purposeful pranayama throughout and restful meditation to conclude this deeply integrated practice.
Carling's Discussion
Coming Home: releasing fear and living an awakened life
In this session, Carling shares some intimate stories, speaks on her career as a yoga teacher, and navigates the always tipsy balance of living life in the moment instead of sharing (or over-sharing) the social media highlight reel.
By creating a strong container for communication and support, she demonstrates how to pull out of the muck of anxious expectations and how to take action. Together we will explore how to move forward with fear along for the ride, rather than you tugging behind on anxiety’s coat tails.
With so much of the world demanding that we be 'something' and 'someone', this is the permission to simply be. To find joy in the process, to fully inhabit our bodies, and to speak our minds with authenticity. Leave with the tools to work with fear and anxiety instead of running from them so that you can finally show up and be seen just as you are.
